What programs did you start in order to raise awareness in the people that we should put a full stop to female foeticide?

Since 2003 we have clubbed the ‘Save the Girl Child’ campaign with the ‘Save Water’ campaign. In each and every meeting that we organized we made it a point to include ‘Save the Girl Child’ issue in our program.

To raise awareness in the people about the importance of ‘Save the Girl Child’ campaign, we organized a very historical, memorable program called Beti Bachao Maha Laddu. Twelve lakh people remained present in this historical program. Boxes of PRASAD were sent to

35 lakh families in all the villages and cities of Gujarat.

With a view to eradicating the shameful blemish of female foeticide we organized in Dewaliya village of Umrala taluka of Saurashtra a program of burning the devil of female foeticide.

In 2008 ‘Sarve Samaj Beti Bachao Yatra’ from Surat to Somnath was organized. This program was successful in creating great awakening in the people.

Our Trust organized a number of programs aiming at accelerating the Beti Bachao campaign. Lakhs of pamphlets were printed and distributed to put a full stop to the evil of female foeticide. In this way untiring and dedicated efforts were made to spread the message of Beti Bachao campaign far and wide.
